What Is an FnF Demand Letter?
An FnF demand letter is a formal written notice an employee sends to a former employer demanding the release of all outstanding Full & Final Settlement dues. In Telangana, this letter typically cites two laws together: the central Payment of Wages Act, 1936, and the Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988, which governs commercial establishments — including the vast majority of Hyderabad's IT, ITES, BPO, and startup employers.
A demand letter is more effective than informal HR follow-ups because it creates a dated, documented record. The Telangana Labour Commissioner's office will typically expect to see proof that you attempted resolution before accepting a formal complaint — this letter is that proof.
